Power Apps — tailored business apps without coding

We build dedicated business apps in Power Apps — low-code. Employee forms, field apps for service techs, manager dashboards, internal tools. Lighter and faster than custom development, with full M365 integration. Go-live in 3–8 weeks.

01

Specific processes outside systems — living in heads and email

02

Custom dev too expensive for non-standard needs

03

Employees use Excel for things Excel doesn't suit

Customer problem

Excel doesn't fit, off-the-shelf SaaS doesn't fit, and custom dev is a long, heavy project

Your company has a specific process no SaaS will handle. Excel is too simple, full custom development is a long and heavy project. In practice employees use paper or email, and processes stay outside the systems.

Power Apps solves this gap. It's Microsoft's low-code platform for building dedicated business apps in weeks, not months. Full M365, SharePoint and Power Automate integration. Apps run on desktop, phone and in Teams.

FAQ

FAQ about Power Apps

How long does a Power Apps app take to build?

Typically 3–8 weeks. Simple app (request form) — 3 weeks. Complex app (field app with integrations and workflow) — 6–8 weeks.

Will Power Apps replace my custom development?

In 80% of cases yes. Power Apps handles most business apps (forms, panels, field apps). Custom dev needed for very demanding scenarios: complex calculations, integrations with non-standard APIs, scale of millions of records.

Does the app work offline (field apps)?

Yes. Power Apps Canvas supports offline work. Data syncs when app returns online. Ideal for field techs without stable internet.

Do I need a Power Apps licence?

Microsoft 365 E3/E5 includes a basic Power Apps plan. For more advanced apps (premium connectors, Dataverse) Per User Plans are needed — we recommend a specific licence in the application discovery phase.

Can the app be changed after deployment?

Yes, easily. Power Apps is low-code — IT admin can add fields, forms, small features without a consultant. Larger changes we handle in support.

What about security and GDPR?

Power Apps uses Microsoft Entra ID for permissions (Active Directory). Data in SharePoint or Dataverse is GDPR-compliant. Full change audit available.

What happens after 30 days of support?

We can offer a development retainer (small changes, new features, additional apps) or leave you with finished apps under your IT's care.

In-depth analysis

Power Apps for business — what to know

The three apps we build most often in Power Apps are: an HR form (e.g. a salary advance request with a Teams approval path), an operational dashboard for managers (KPIs, order statuses, action buttons in one view), and a field app for service techs or auditors (works offline, captures photos, ties into the work schedule). Each of those goes live in weeks instead of months and ships with native SharePoint and Power Automate integration — which in classic custom dev would require a separate sprint.

Power Apps occupies a specific slot in the tooling portfolio: between Excel (too simple, no audit trail, no workflow) and full custom development (too expensive and too slow for most processes). Power Apps is the right call when the process is specific to your company (off-the-shelf SaaS doesn't fit) but technically typical for Microsoft 365 (forms, lists, M365 integrations, reports). We keep custom dev for processes that need unique UX, integrations with non-Microsoft systems, or for products you intend to scale externally beyond your organization.

The most visible Power Apps impact lands in companies with a sprawl of Excel-based processes that grew into unreadable workbooks and can't be maintained any longer. The second strong target are organizations with field workers — service technicians, auditors, fitters — who need a mobile app with offline support. The third: operational teams that originally scoped custom dev but found the project too long and too risky.
